WAUSAU, Wis.,September 27, 2021– IncredibleBank Foundation’s $35,000 commitment to the City of Bessemer’s Parks and Recreation department trailhead project has earned them the namesake of the pavilion on the new trailhead on the Iron Belle Trail near downtown Bessemer.
The trailhead will provide parking, easy access to the trail, restrooms, a water-bottle filling station, a picnic area, a place for children to safely learn how to bicycle, and a fire pit.
“This donation goes a long way towards meeting our fundraising goals and we are extremely grateful for IncredibleBank Foundation’s generosity,” says Cheryl Olsen, the chair of the City of Bessemer Parks and Recreation department.
The City of Bessemer Parks and Recreation department has raised a total of about $55,000 and is working to raise an additional $32,000 to apply for grand funding. If their grant application is successful, it would quadruple the amount raised.
“The IncredibleBank Foundation donation to the Bessemer Iron Belle Trailhead project is important to help secure grant funding and keep the project moving forward. The Trailhead will help enhance the Iron Belle Trail, which provides recreation and exercise for area residents and visitors. said Kevin Nyquist, IncredibleBank Market Manager. IncredibleBank and its Foundation are proud to help the communities in which we reside and conduct business.”
