What you need to know to access your money.

Many people are anticipating payment relief as part of the Coronavirus Federal Stimulus Package. Here’s what you should know and here’s how IncredibleBank can help you.

  • Your funds will be sent to you based on the information you provided in your 2018 and/or 2019 tax filings
  • If you provided your account information for direct deposit in your tax returns, you will not need to do anything to receive your money. Your funds will be sent via direct deposit to IncredibleBank
  • If you did not provide your account information in your tax returns, visit irs.gov/coronavirus to set up direct deposit for your relief payment. If you don’t set up direct deposit, you will likely be sent a paper check through the mail. This is not a preferred method of payment, however. You might have to wait longer for the check to arrive, and because the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending that people stay at home in many places around the country, a paper check might present some problems for deposit for some people. IncredibleBank wants you to take every precaution necessary to keep you and your family safe.

I receive Social Security and do not file a tax return, do I need to do anything?
No, you don’t. You will receive your benefit directly into the bank account where you receive your Social Security benefit.

How will I know my payment was deposited?
You will receive a notice in the mail from the IRS a few weeks after your payment was sent and in what form it was made.

Are the payments taxable?
No.

If I receive a paper check, how can I deposit it?
There are several ways. Although our lobbies are not open to protect our customers and employees from infections, our drive-up windows are, and checks can be easily deposited that way. You can also deposit your check via the IncredibleBank mobile app. If you do not have our mobile app, you can download it here for your iPhone and here for your Android device.

If none of these options are available to you, you can always mail us your check, but make certain you endorse the back of the check and write “For deposit only at IncredibleBank” and then write your account number under that. The check should be mailed to:

Can I cash my check at IncredibleBank if I’m not a customer?
No. We can only cash customer checks.
