Feeding America's Mobile Pantry Program

Two hours of volunteer work. Four lanes of cars. Three hundred families.

Community banks are focused on numbers. It’s a part of what we do. At IncredibleBank, our focus on numbers includes those that relate to hunger and hope like the ones above.

Day in and day out, organizations like The Salvation Army, American Red Cross and many others provide help and hope to individuals struggling with hunger. Earlier this summer, my teammates and I had the opportunity to join them in this important mission by volunteering at the Feeding America® West Michigan Mobile Pantry.

Feeding America’s Mobile Pantry Program is designed to supplement local hunger-relief efforts. With the need for food rising due to COVID-19’s economic impacts, The Salvation Army of Marquette County hosted a mobile pantry where we helped distribute packages of meat, vegetables, fruit, dairy and even desserts to anyone in need.

In just two hours we helped alleviate some of the hunger that three hundred families waiting for food in their cars may have otherwise experienced. Seeing this provided hope. Hope that by continuing to support IncredibleBank’s core value of community in this way, we can continue to make important gains in the lives of those who need us. That’s incredible.
