$104,714 Is Raised For Marathon County’s Largest Food Bank

In a music-themed fundraising event titled “Singing For Their Supper”, produced by Gray Television and WSAW, and sponsored by IncredibleBank, a total of $104,714 was raised for The Neighbors’ Place, Marathon County’s largest food bank.

The windfall will enable The Neighbors’ Place to purchase and distribute the equivalent of over 300,000 meals at a time when the nation’s food banks and food pantries are in critical need of support. Nationwide, 17 million people now face hunger in addition to the those who already battle hunger every day.

The “Singing For Their Supper” campaign kicked off on Saturday, April 18th with a one-hour televised special featuring artists such as Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Ken Block & Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain, Patrick Davis, Josh Kelley, Joe Stevenson, Shawn Mullins, Chris Barron of Spin Doctors, Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket and Scotty McCreery.

At the end of the one-hour telecast, $22,000 was raised, but donations soared for a 10-day period after the event including thousands of dollars donated to an account at IncredibleBank. The generosity of the residents of central Wisconsin is absolutely astounding as we work together to make certain our citizens receive the assistance they need during the Coronavirus pandemic.
